A little less guessing.
Who have they recently followed on Instagram?

Example profiles, not live data. A current list is not a dated follow history. Search a username to see its available public connections.
Don't keep checking. Keep a Watch.

Public profiles only. Free preview; a subscription is required for Watch. A follow is a connection, not a conclusion.
First, know what you’re seeing
What does “recently followed” actually mean?
A following list shows the accounts a profile is connected to now. By itself, it does not establish when those connections began, and the first account displayed is not proof of the latest follow. If you want to understand what changed, you need a starting record and a later comparison.
Recently Followed uses the first completed Watch collection as that starting record, called a baseline. When a later complete collection contains an account that was absent before, Watch records a newly detected follow. When an account disappears, it records a removal.
This gives you a practical answer to “what changed since I started watching?” It cannot reconstruct a reliable timeline from before your baseline. Each activity record includes a detection time and the interval between completed checks, so you can separate an observed change from an exact Instagram action time.

How to see who they recently followed on Instagram
Read the step-by-step guide- 01
Search the right username.
Enter an Instagram handle, with or without @, or paste the profile URL. Select “Who they follow” and check the returned username, picture, and display name before continuing. Similar handles can belong to different people. If the profile is private, its following list is unavailable.
- 02
Review the current connections.
The homepage gives you a preview of available public connections and shows when the result was checked. Subscribers can browse additional available pages. Choose “Who follows them” if your question is about incoming followers instead; that is a different list, not evidence of whom the profile chose to follow.
- 03
Start Watch and let the baseline finish.
Create a verified Recently Followed account, choose a plan, and add the public profile to your Watchlist. The first full collection establishes the baseline; it does not label existing connections as new follows. Large lists can take several scheduled runs to finish.
- 04
Return for changes, not another guess.
After a later complete comparison, review new connections and removals in your dashboard. Enable email alerts for a heads-up when changes are detected. Keep checking the recorded time window rather than treating an alert as the moment the follow happened.
Stop guessing. Check the details.
A connection record you can actually read
Your Watch activity identifies the profile being monitored, the account added or removed, the kind of change, and when we detected it. Changes stay in your private activity history for 90 days, giving you a record to revisit rather than relying on memory or a cropped screenshot.
Check a public profileIllustrative example: @alex.example is absent from Monday’s completed baseline for @jordan.example and present in Tuesday’s completed collection. Watch records a newly detected follow between those checks. This does not prove the follow happened on Tuesday or reveal why the connection was made.
We compare stable Instagram account IDs, so a renamed handle alone is not treated as a new connection. A total following count can also stay the same while individual connections change: one addition and one removal cancel out numerically. Comparing account lists gives those changes context.
A follow is a connection, not a conclusion. Use the record to understand public activity; it cannot tell you someone’s intentions, relationship status, or private conversations.

When results are incomplete—or nothing has changed
A useful following tracker needs to explain uncertainty, not turn missing data into an answer. Recently Followed does not generate confirmed Watch changes from a partial collection, a repeated pagination cursor, or a list whose collected size does not match the available profile counts.
If you see a private-account message, choose a public profile. If the username is not found, check the handle directly on Instagram and try again. If a provider request fails, retry later; an unavailable result is not evidence that the profile has no connections.
For a Watch still collecting its baseline, wait for the full collection to complete. If comparisons are paused or retrying, use the last successful check as your reference—not the current time. Large lists, source availability, and profile changes can delay completion.
Before interpreting any result, confirm four things: the exact username, the list selected, the last completed check, and whether the collection is complete. No recorded change means no verified difference between the relevant completed checks; it does not guarantee that no brief activity occurred between them.
Keep the conversation private
Search without connecting your Instagram account
You do not need to give us an Instagram password or connect your Instagram account. Recently Followed checks available public data; it does not send follow requests or interact with the target profile on your behalf. It cannot unlock private following lists, read direct messages, or reveal private stories.
Your Watchlist and email preferences belong to your Recently Followed account. You can turn alerts off or remove a Watch when you no longer need it. Removing it stops monitoring for your account and removes its queued alerts; shared public data may remain for other Watches.
Use the service responsibly and respect the people behind the profiles. Read our privacy policy for the details of data handling and retention.
Before you look
Recently Followed questions, answered
Can I recover follows from before I started Watch?
No. A current list can show existing connections, but it cannot reliably date their beginnings. Watch records changes after a completed baseline and later comparison. If you need older activity that was never captured, we do not present guesses as recovered history.
How often will I see updates?
Watch checks profile information roughly every six hours and aims to compare complete following lists daily. These are scheduled checks, not live notifications. Collection size, account availability, and provider interruptions can affect timing. Use the last completed check shown with your results.
Will I see every follow and unfollow?
Not necessarily. Watch can miss a connection that appears and disappears between completed checks. We also cannot verify changes while a collection is incomplete or the profile is private. That is why records include check windows rather than a claim of perfect or real-time coverage.
Is recently followed the same as recent followers?
No. Following means the accounts someone chose to follow. Followers means accounts that follow them. You can preview either available public list on the homepage, but Watch currently monitors outbound following changes, not incoming follower changes.
Can I try it before subscribing?
You can search a public username and see the homepage preview without an Instagram login. Additional list browsing, Watch, and activity alerts require a subscription. Confirm that the intended profile is public and correctly identified before choosing a plan; preview access is not unlimited free tracking.
What happens if a watched profile becomes private?
Its comparisons pause until public data is available again. We keep the last completed baseline instead of treating an inaccessible list as a mass unfollow. When complete public collections resume, later comparisons can show differences across the check interval, not an exact date during the private period.
Keep them on your radar
Choose a plan for the profiles you want to watch
The Weekly plan is $5.99 per week after a 7-day trial and includes 3 active Watches. The Monthly plan is $17.49 per month after a 14-day trial and includes 10 active Watches. Trial eligibility applies, and a payment method is required.
Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel. Manage cancellation through Billing before the trial ends to avoid the first renewal charge. Review the pricing page for the full terms, current plan limits, and checkout details. Neither plan unlocks private accounts or historical follows from before a baseline.
Start with a public username above. See the current connections first; use Watch when you want a record of what changes next.
