Search the public username.
Choose following or followers, enter the handle, and confirm the profile. The preview shows available connections and when they were checked. Recently checked results may be reused briefly to keep searches fast.
Start watching.
Create a Recently Followed account, choose a plan, and add a public profile to Watch. The first completed following collection is your baseline. A large following list can take several scheduled runs to finish.
See what changed.
We compare stable Instagram account IDs between complete lists. New entries become detected follows; missing entries become detected unfollows. An incomplete list cannot trigger a change event.
Get the heads-up.
Completed comparisons with changes create private email alerts. You can switch alerts off for individual profiles and still review the record in your Watchlist. Failed deliveries are retried.
Know the timing.
Profile checks run about every six hours and full comparisons run daily. Detection time is when the difference was recorded, rather than the exact Instagram action time. A follow and unfollow that both happen between complete checks may not be observed.
If data becomes unavailable.
Private profiles and restricted or interrupted collections pause verified comparisons. We keep the previous complete baseline. Check the profile status or try a fresh search before interpreting an empty preview.
Questions, answered.
Can I check a private Instagram account?
No. Recently Followed checks publicly available lists. It does not bypass private profiles or request access on your behalf.
Can I see the exact date a follow happened?
Instagram does not publish exact follow dates for other accounts. We show when a change was first detected and the interval between completed checks.
